Welcome to Primary 2

Primary 2 have been very busy this term, we have been learning about lots of things. In DT we have been looking at making slippers. We started off by bringing in all our slippers, we did a little fashion show with them. We then designed our slippers. We went to the fabric shop to get everything we need to make our slippers

In R.E we have been learning about Buddhism we have had a go at meditating. We dressed up as a Buddha and 

had to sit with our legs crossed, our hands up and our eyes closed.

In History we have looked at children in World war two. We dressed up as an evacuee. We found out how horrible the gas masks were to wear. We also listened to the sounds that the children would have heard.

On a Friday the class go Horse riding. We have been practising how to balance and sit up properly, its very

good fun and we all look forward to it. The only problem we have is that only 6 of us can ride at a time so 2 of us have to sit in the cafe` and watch with our staff.

 

We have been out on 2 trips this term. We have been to @ Bristol where we went to look at the sun, earth and moon which we have been doing in Science.

The 2^nd trip we went on was to a music rules ok workshop where we had a go at Chinese dancing, drumming and making shakers. Here is a picture of Joshua playing the drums.
