Come and see what is happeninging in Key Stage 4

Art is taught as an entitlement in Key Stage 4 and follows the QCA scheme of work on Life Events, this has included making charcoal drawings of themselves or their peers in dramatic poses. Key Stage 4 have produced some very interesting drawings with dramatic and definite charcoal lines. So far, Key stage 4 have explored the zoom feature on a digital camera in order to take a photograph of an image and of each other in dramatic poses..

The students have observed the area outside the classroom and taken photographs of their environment, exploring the zoom feature on a digital camera. Additionally, the focus has also covered photojournalism and how electronic equipment such as a photocopier, scanner, and a digital camera can enhance images for presentation in magazines etc.
