Inclusive links
We have close long term well established inclusion links with local mainstream Primary schools and are seeking to develop a new vocational initiative in partnership with our two local Secondary Schools. We link with one local Secondary school related to their Art Specialist status. We have established a link with a special school in Romania and our SIP has a major focus on developing further community links.
Aims of the school

To acknowledge and respect the individuality of each pupil, to value every member of the school, local and global community, and to foster within them a respect for others.

To provide pupils with the tools to become effective learners and thinkers and to begin to understand the learning and thinking process.

To provide pupils with the tools to become increasingly emotionally intelligent.

To develop self-esteem and self-advocacy in all pupils, to increase awareness of their own achievements and how they feel they can improve.

In a curriculum which is well established in National Curriculum and National Initiative terms and which is age appropriate to enrich and enhance learning through innovation and inclusivity.

Effectively assess pupil performance and set challenging targets in terms of child development to improve pupil attainment through whole school self-evaluative processes.

To ensure that vocational learning supports transition and pupil skills for life.

Through high quality of resources and interactive learning environments increase pupil?s independent learning.

Work with professionals and parents/carers as partners in children?s education and offer them professional support, information and guidance.
Support and develop the staff?s emotional intelligence and teamwork, thus increasing the efficiency of pupil?s learning.
Ethos

In our school children are given the opportunity to be involved and introduced to the rich cultures of the world. We encourage them to value and to be concerned for the environment. We believe that effective learning takes place where relationships are positive and where pupils are valued for who they are.
In our school we are very lucky to have enthusiastic staff members that strive to be creative in their teaching styles and make effective use of the resources that are available to them.
In our school we work closely with professionals, parents and carers in partnership for the benefit of your child?s education and ensure that they are provided with support, information and guidance.
